Seed meetings
I love seed meetings. The fights, the arguments, the bad blood.
What I never really understood is why coaches arguing for their wrestlers spend so much time dwelling on their grapplers’ losses instead of the wins.
In fact a couple of years ago a coach kept talking about his wrestlers’ quality losses. What exactly qualifies as a quality loss? I think I know what a quality win is but a quality loss mystifies me.
A loss is a loss as far as I am concerned.
I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s VBI seed meeting. I will post the seeds as soon as I can tomorrow night.
NOTEWORTHY:
AN IRONMAN: Watched a little of the CIT on Saturday at Toledo Central Catholic. Watched Calvert sophomore Kyle Kwiat finish third at 152 pounds for the Senecas. How’d he do it? He lost in the opening round and had to win seven straight matches in the consolation bracket to finish third. That’s one tough day at the office.
