UF at home against Ohio

Get out and watch some wrestling.
For those not wrestling Friday night there should be some good wrestling right in your backyard.
The University of Findlay hosts Ohio University in a Friday night dual meet beginning at 7 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium. The Roughnecks are ranked 19th in the country in Division II. That’s kind of a joke since the team has a pair of returning NCAA finalists they will surely finish higher than 19th.
The local team gets no respect from the other coaches in Division II and that’s probably fine with coach Shawn Nelson who knows his team will perform when needed at the NCAA tournament next March at Nebraska-Kearney.
Findlay is coming off a triangular split with Illinois and Central Missouri State last weekend. UF fell to the Ilini (38-6) but stuck it to Central Missouri 40-3.
Ohio U. will be looking for a little revenge as the Roughnecks beat them last season 22-18 in a match at Lakota West High School near Cincinnati.
There will be plenty of NW Ohio talent on the mat for Findlay. Defending NCAA champ Tony Guerra (157) is from Toledo Waite and other UF starters like Alex Schumaker (125) and Justin Shannon (165) are from BLUFFTON while Travis Clark (285) is a McComb product.
Here is a good preview of the match from OU Sports Information. The Roughnecks only have 2 home matches this season so get out and watch them while you can.

Findlay 18
Ohio 15

Good match, Findlay has some tough kids. I believe it was Dong who pinned Clay Tucker, who was a seniors national champion beating Cyler Sanderson, to give Findlay a boost.
