My favorite college wrestling team is struggling right now.

I neglected to mention after last weekend that the University of Findlay wrestlers went O-fer at the NWCA National Duals at the University of Northern Iowa last weekend.

Past NCAA champions Andy Uhl and Tony Guerra continue to wrestle well and McComb native Travis Clark is having a pretty solid season at 285 pounds but a lot of the Roughnecks’ younger guys are struggling.

Plus UF took a major hit when freshman Sean Dong was lost for the season when he became academically ineligible for the second semester. Dong was doing quite well for UF on the mat, much better than in the classroom.

Anyway, the Roughnecks will be sending it’s young guys to the Manchester College Classic this weekend to try and get them going in the right direction. They entire team will be back in action next week with dual meets against West Liberty State and Limestone.
